FAQs

Summary

Students and recent graduates from any college or university may sign up for a two week JD Edwards course held in Denver, co-sponsored by the University of Colorado Denver Business School.

Where will the first JDE101 program be located?

Our first Higher Education Partner is the University of Colorado Denver Business School. The course will take place at the South Campus, near the Denver Tech Center.

Do I have to be a student at CU to attend the program?

No, you don’t. Students and recent graduates from any university or college are eligible to attend.

What background qualifies a student for admission to JDE101?

You enjoy the challenge of solving business problems.  You are a senior, junior, graduate student, or recent graduate.  You are majoring in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or another closely related field.

Will students get a certificate?

Students completing the two week program will receive a certificate from the University of Colorado Denver Business School. Students who pass the JDE101 certification exam will receive a JDE101 Certificate of Competency.

Is JDE101 limited to the United States?

International students may attend this year’s program in Denver.

What is the instructional model? Will JDE101 provide instructors?

Qualified and experienced JD Edwards consultants will teach two weeks of hands on, onsite classes, eight hours per day, using training manuals donated by JDEtips. We’ll be using a very recent release of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, hosted by Smartbridge. Access to eLearning self-study modules is also included, provided by iLearnERP. The initial curriculum will focus on the JDE Financials and Distribution suites. We are also considering starting a program for developers in 2016.

We have new employees–can they sign up for the program?

Sorry, but no. The goal of JDE101 is to bring ‘net new’ students into the JDE ecosystem, not to train people that are already working in the JDE ecosystem at clients and consulting firms. There are commercially available options for training employees. Contact Training@JDE101.org for more information.

Will there be opportunities for students to meet with potential employers?

Absolutely! JDE clients, Oracle/JDE Business Partners, and Oracle will be invited to join JDE101 and meet with the students at a job fair/social event the last day of the course. Resumes will also be made available to JDE101 members by email, upon graduation from the program.

Our goal is to help 100% of the JDE101 students find internships and full time employment in the JDE ecosystem, both locally and nationwide.

How much is tuition for this year’s program?

Tuition is $1,200 for the two week (80 hour) program.

What about meals, hotel, and transportation?

The students are responsible for these costs.  We have a good discount at the local Hampton Inn, 1.5 miles from the CU South Campus, and there is a hotel shuttle van which will take students back and forth.  The hotel is within walking distance of the Light Rail system, which goes all the way downtown.

When is the program?

The program will be held August 3-14.
